Behind the Pads

Each pad represents a community effort

Behind every She for She Pad is a network of people working together to ensure girls can manage their periods with dignity.

From the women in Uganda who sew the pads by hand, to the teachers who welcome us into their classrooms, to the organisers and drivers who make sure the pads reach even the most remote schools, to the menstrual health educators who teach both girls and boys that menstruation is normal. Every pad carries care, knowledge, and opportunity.

When you donate a pad, you’re not just giving a product. You’re supporting jobs, education, and a system that helps ensure no girl misses school because of her period.

distribution

From donation to delivery

She for She Pads are distributed directly to girls through partnerships with local NGOs, schools, and community leaders. This ensures the pads reach those who need them most, in safe and trusted settings.

The distribution is always accompanied by menstrual health education, and in many cases, we also provide our comic book, ‘Nambi – The Menstruation Superhero’, to help make learning fun, inclusive, and stigma-free for both girls and boys.
