I am Ugandan, but there is still so much I have to learn, because I am Danish too. Last week we held our job interviews for the managerial position at She for She. I was terrified because this was the first time I had to hold a job interview where so much was at stake. Action Aid Uganda gave us rooms available and here in Uganda there is both the oral conversation and a written test.
We had 5 bad ass candidates for the conversation, who has all done so much for the Ugandan woman! We had no doubt who She for She should have as her manager. Let me introduce you to Christabel Ariekot!
Christabel is an incredibly humble yet extremely ambitious and determined woman. She has helped to set up an organization whose purpose is to provide access to education for children in Ugandan slums. They have helped 160 children with an education, and here she has worked for 10 years.
What I fell for was that she is sharp, but that she has also been able to help start an organization from scratch and follow through. Now she wants to do it with She for She.
